Scrunchies, croquet clubs and slushies are like so totally back with this revival of “Heathers,” returning to Off Broadway 11 years after its premiere. The catchy score by Laurence O’Keefe and Kevin Murphy soars with a spectacular cast featuring Lorna Courtney, Casey Likes, McKenzie Kurtz and Kerry Butler. They make the characters from the 1989 cult-classic film their own. So, what’s my damage, to borrow a line from the movie? The cumbersome set is limiting and director Andy Fickman’s transitions are clunky. But it’s still big fun – just be prepared for screaming fans much younger than the source material. — Justin McCallum
