If ever there was a musical worthy of being presented as an arena concert, it’s “Les Misérables” – it’s got plenty of powerhouse numbers that can translate in a space far bigger than a Broadway theater. So, it’s no surprise that the production now playing at Radio City works for the most part, even if some cast members have stronger voices than others (Jeremy Secomb, playing Javert, was the scene stealer at the recent Sunday matinee). And the staging? Well, it’s concert-style, so don’t expect any real set. Still, if you picture those barricades in your head, you’ll be fine. — Charles Passy
