Give credit to Josh Sharp for taking on the herculean task of creating a show that features 2,000 slide projections, served up in a lickety-split 80 minutes. Also give him credit for telling a coming-out story that mixes sharp, smart and plain hilarious observations about gay life with complex explanations of mathematical theory and telling stories of his mother’s death from ovarian cancer and his own brush with mortality on a Mexican beach. If it all sounds like it’s a bit too much, well, that’s the problem – “ta-da!” is overly ambitious, but it delivers memorable moments along the way. — Charles Passy
